- Turn West (right) on Route 72 through the town of Shannon for approximately 7 miles to Route 73 turn North (right) 1.5 miles to Payne Rd,
- Turn West (left) on Payne Rd. and continue to Lake Carroll East entrance.
From Chicago West and Far West Suburbs
- I-88 West to I-39/51 North and continue North approximately 8 miles,
- Continue to Route 64 West (left) about 46 miles to Route 73,
- Turn North (right) on Route 73 approximately 6 miles to Route 72,
- Continue North through the intersection (4-way stop) 1.5 miles to Payne Rd.
- Turn West (left) on Payne Rd. and continue to Lake Carroll East entrance.
